A Clockwork Orange is a fiction novel by Anthony Burgess, which was published in the year 1962. The story was written by him when he was a British Colonel officer in Malaysia. Latter on this story was the base for the movie directed by Stanley Kubrick. The novel was chosen as one of 100 best novels during the year 1923 and 2000 by the TIME magazine. The entire novel is written in a first person perspective making the reader pity for the sufferings of person called Alex. Alex has used very commonly spoken words in the novel making the novel interesting.
